About your 4D and wellbeing check
Our 4D scan uses the latest in ultrasound technology to offer you a glimpse into your baby’s world. See them moving around in the womb and get a glimpse at what they will look like when they are born. Seeing your baby’s face helps you bond together and prepares you for your first meeting in a few months’ time.
At the scan your sonographer will also perform a wellbeing check.
Your sonographer will check that your baby is growing within normal parameters by measuring their head circumference, abdominal circumference and femur length. These will give the sonographer the estimated weight of your baby.
The sonographer will look at the amniotic fluid around your baby and complete an umbilical artery doppler assessment which will measure the blood flow to your placenta.
Your sonographer will also check the position of your placenta and look at the presentation of your baby.
All of the above assessments will help to assess the well-being of your baby and ensure they are happy, healthy and growing well.

Our 4D scan uses the latest technology to give you a real-time view of your baby moving and growing. Your sonographer will measure your baby’s head, tummy, and thigh bone to check their development and estimate their weight, while you enjoy seeing detailed images and a glimpse of what your little one will look like at birth.
What’s included:
